Deployed the Terminal Management System from Toptech Systems for loading rail cars with molten sulphur at the Scotford Upgrader and generating associated bills of lading which retired a >10 year old legacy Access database-powered system.
Reporting to the VP of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) for Shell’s Heavy Oil business, led a two-year $2.0m program of 8 projects to improve safety, security, and environmental compliance at the Athabasca Oil Sands Project.
Upgraded hardware and deployed additional radar and hazing stations deployed on the tailing ponds at the Jackpine oil sands mine, improving system reliability and performance through improved pond coverage. Reduced the number of bird landings on the pond by 10%.
Installed badge scanners at new bus pickup and drop-off location at Jackpine oil sand mine, improving physical site security by enclosing an area where workers could enter or leave the site without scanning their access card.
